The Learning Lamp is hiring Substitute Teachers to work in local school settings on a day-to-day basis. Hours follow school district schedules, and compensation is paid per day.

We offer a collaborative environment with professional development opportunities and benefits for part-time staff. A bachelor’s degree is required, along with required clearances and the ability to adapt to different classrooms and grade levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is minimum requirement.
• Willingness to go through and pass required clearances and training.
• Ability to quickly establish rapport with students and adapt to different classroom settings.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with school policies and procedures.
• Flexibility and adaptability to different teaching assignments.
• Completed background check and clearance.
• Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and stopping for long periods during the day.

Responsibilities

• Classroom Management: Implement plans and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Instructional Delivery: Deliver lessons per established curriculum and adapt as needed.
• Student Engagement: Foster participation and a respectful learning atmosphere.
• Supervision: Monitor students during class and transitions, ensuring safety.
• Communication: Provide feedback and report issues to the regular teacher.
