Job summary

Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities seeks staff to support and assist students throughout the school year, ensuring health and safety. Responsibilities include daily living tasks, personal care, and aiding in instructional activities under supervision.

Position requires relevant licensure such as an Intervention Specialist license or MH/DH certificate, and may require a valid driver’s license. Training in safety protocols and behavior management is included.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Licensure or enrollment in licensure training required.
• Valid Driver’s License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides services, support, and instruction to assigned student throughout the school year to assure health and safety.
• Assist with daily needs including personal care such as changing, hygiene, and feeding.
• Accompany student during the school day in cafeteria, restrooms, classroom, gym, playground, and bus.
• Participate in educational activities and engage students during instruction.
• Follow classroom management procedures and techniques.
• Maintain data on instructional goals and behavior plans.
• Assist in implementing instructional programs and review progress with teacher.
