Qualifications

• No High School Diploma or GED required
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work with supervisors and school staff

• Ability to walk or stand for long periods
• Ability to lift objects weighing 10 lbs or less
• Experience with students, preferably high school age

Responsibilities

• Relieves teachers of non-teaching activities under supervision
• Relieves teachers for yard, hall, lavatory, study hall and monitorial duties
• Handles, stores, and distributes textbooks and materials
• Assists with routine clerical work
• Maintains order in the lunchroom and assists lunch service
• Assists with school clerical work
• Checks reports, notes and library lists
• Assists with arrival/departure of bus-transported students
• Oversees lunch service and disposal of leftovers
• Supervises children during daily activities including entry/dismissal and drills
• Other duties as requested by teachers or principals
