Provides administrative oversight for all areas of Student Support as well as assists with the implementation of programs for Off-Campus Resources and Basic Needs. This position is charged with maintaining positive customer service for anyone engaging with Student Support and/or Behavior Concerns Advice Line (BCAL).
Coordinate administrative pieces for Student Support programs especially from Basic Needs and Off-Campus Resources. This includes purchasing equipment and other supplies, creating OOEFs, facilitating reimbursements, and maintaining expenditures for financial audits. Using a Procard and completing account receivables processing for the Procard. Assist with staffing on-campus programs for Student Support areas. Serve as a resource to Student Outreach and Support on critical operations including assisting in processing class absence notes, processing student death memos, planning and implementing UT Remembers with University Events and Experiences, maintaining up-to-date reporting on BCAL concerns including Protocall reports, and scheduling and preparing documentation for BAT meetings. Serve as backup support and coverage to the student employees assigned to Main 7, ensuring appropriate front desk coverage during absences and peak times, serving as the primary point of contact for visitors, faculty, staff, students, and external guests by providing excellent customer service when answering phone calls, serving walk-in customers, and assisting with crisis situations. Assist with collecting and submitting responsive documents for Open Records Requests regarding programs under Student Support. Serve on campus-wide committees. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree and three years of work experience. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with limited supervision. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to pass all required background checks as required by the Youth Protection Office to serve as a university Designated Individual. Ability to gain authorization to drive a university vehicle. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Knowledge and experience with UT Austin processes and procedures. Experience with UT Austin HR and accounting procedures. Experience managing student team members. Previous work with youth programs that require youth protection compliance.
This job requires a class "C" operator’s driver’s license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver’s license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
$52,000 + depending on qualifications
Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers. Staff who are promotion/transfer eligible may apply for positions without supervisor approval.
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
