Job summary

Chaminade University of Honolulu seeks a Tutoring and Academic Coaching Services Coordinator to lead daily tutoring and coaching operations, recruit and develop a team, and oversee scheduling systems for in-person and online services.

You will collaborate with campus partners to ensure services align with student needs and contribute to retention initiatives, particularly for Apo Haumāna and other student populations. This is a full-time, on-site role at the Office of Student Success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, psychology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Canva, Google products, and Microsoft Office.
• Commitment to equity-minded, inclusive, and student-centered services within a collaborative campus environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire qualified tutors and academic coaches based on demand and subject coverage across all schools.
• Facilitate onboarding and lead semesterly training on tutoring and coaching best practices, inclusive learning strategies, session planning, and collaboration.
• Provide professional development through staff workshops and individualized feedback.
• Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins with tutors and coaches to review progress and set goals.
• Oversee day-to-day tutoring and coaching operations, including Reservio and Tutor.com platform administration.
• Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate online sessions using Google Meet.
• Maintain an inclusive center environment and ensure accessibility considerations.
• Review post-session feedback and inform development plans for staff.
• Track usage data and share reports to inform recruitment and training priorities.
• Partner with campus stakeholders to promote tutoring services at events and through outreach.
