Job summary

California State University, Sacramento is seeking an Outreach Coordinator under the Project Rebound program. The role supports student success and progress toward degree objectives, with a focus on documentation, reporting, and program assessment.

Responsibilities include coordinating volunteers, delivering outreach activities, and maintaining data/reporting systems while upholding confidentiality and inclusive practices. This is a temporary, on-site position ending by June 30, 2027.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to two years of professional experience in a student services program; a master’s degree may substitute for one year of professional experience.
• Graduation from a four‑year college or university in behavioral sciences, public or business administration; specialized experience may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis.
• Experience in higher education student services related to the assigned program area (e.g., advising, admissions, residential life, student programming or development).
• Ability to independently prioritize, plan and organize work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide direct programs and/or services to a diverse student population.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a diverse environment.
• Ability to compile, prepare, write and review reports.
• Proficiency using standard office software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Familiarity working with school‑based record/data systems/software (example: PeopleSoft).
• Ability to travel, stay occasionally overnight, and occasionally work evenings and weekends.
• Strong ability to establish, articulate, and maintain life‑affirming interpersonal boundaries.
• Ability to coordinate, supervise, and collaborate with volunteers.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Commitment to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive work environment with diverse colleagues and constituents including faculty, students, staff, and community members.
