Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is hiring for a Drop Out Prevention role to collaborate with district staff, parents and students, providing information and support to keep students engaged in school. The position operates under the supervision of the Drop Out Prevention Administrator and/or Coordinator.

The role requires a relevant degree and experience in social services or adolescent prevention programs, with flexibility for evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field with 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination as per policy.
• Associate’s degree with 3 years of related experience in social services/adolescent prevention programs.
• AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test plus 6 years experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with district staff, parents and students using culturally responsible strategies to encourage students to stay in school.
• Provides information to staff, students and families under the supervision of the Drop Out Prevention Administrator/Coordinator.
• Performs duties in support of the Drop Out Prevention Department during the 2026-2027 school year and beyond.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services or related field

Associate’s degree or completion of two years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of study

AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test OR six years of related experience
