Under the supervision of the Library Director, the Student Success Librarian assists JC students with instruction and tutorials tailored to their information needs, both in person and virtually, and supports library cataloging and technical services.
This part-time role (10-15 hours per week) emphasizes leading instruction sessions, providing research help, developing interactive tutorials and LibGuides content, and collaborating with faculty to integrate library resources into courses.

Assist with the supervision of library student workers as needed.
Internal: Coordinate and communicate within the College community to facilitate student enrollment. Frequent contact with faculty and other departments for the purposes of information sharing.
External: Make contact, as needed, with schools, businesses and other agencies, in addition to current and prospective students, to provide information about Jackson College.
Master's degree in Library Science (MLS, MS, MSLS, etc.) from an American Library Association-accredited institution.

Adjunct instructors are not employed directly by Jackson College with the exception of those receiving a pension from the Michigan Public School Employees Retirement System. The security report contains crime statistics for the previous three years (2014-2016) for all of our campus locations and the annual fire safety report, which contains statistics for any reported fires in campus housing units and fire safety systems in these buildings.
