Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Counseling or a related program preferred
• Minimum of one year of professional experience in academic support services at the secondary or college level preferred
• Superior written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent computer skills (prefer experience with Colleague or similar data management tool and basic knowledge of Excel)
• A passion for helping students to achieve academic success
• Sensitivity to issues of ethnicity, disability, and diversity
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with a variety of state and federal laws, guidelines, and regulations
• Dedication to the mission of a Catholic, liberal arts institution

Responsibilities

• Oversees programming and services for students in the Gateway To Success Program
• Coordinates programs and initiatives for first-generation students such as Alpha Alpha Alpha and peer-to-peer coaching through work-study programming
• Supports ASC during the summer months in preparation for the incoming class
