Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA seeks a Student Retention and Engagement Specialist to support Helms College students on-campus and online. The role focuses on promoting engagement, academic success, and timely graduation through coordinating programs, events, and targeted interventions.

You will work with faculty, admissions, and student services to ensure proactive communication, data-driven interventions, and a positive, inclusive campus culture while upholding FERPA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in educação, counseling, human resources, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year coaching, advising, or counseling experience.
• Experience with non-traditional students preferred.
• General administrative skills including policy development and monitoring.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and effective written/s verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate with leadership, faculty, and staff across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead retention efforts by organizing regular retention meetings with faculty and student services.
• Collect, analyze, and report data on student retention, progression, and concerns.
• Mentor students and coordinate with instructors to develop intervention plans.
• Provide proactive outreach via phone, email, video, and LMS platforms.
• Support online learners with tailored strategies and resources.
• Chair Graduation Committee and coordinate commencement planning.
