Beaufort County Community College invites applications for a full-time TRIO Student Development Coordinator based in Washington, NC. The role provides advising, programming, and student development support to TRIO participants and serves as a campus and community face for the program.

Working with TRIO teams and campus partners, you will help students navigate college, access resources, and pursue academic, career, and transfer goals.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required or closely related field.
• Professional experience in higher education, student services, advising, or related settings.
• Strong communication and relational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and with a team.
• Knowledge of FERPA and student-record practices (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide advising and programming to TRIO participants.
• Assist students with academic, career, financial, and transfer planning.
• Develop and review individualized Educational Plans with students.
• Monitor academic progress and respond to early alerts and student concerns.
• Plan and facilitate workshops, events, and student development activities.
• Collaborate with directors, coordinators, tutors, and campus partners to coordinate student support.
• Represent TRIO at campus and community events.
