Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. seeks a Counselor at Atterbury Job Corps Center in Edinburgh, IN.

You will provide comprehensive, individualized counseling to support student progress, retention and completion of the Job Corps program, guiding students to overcome barriers and grow toward real academic and career success. You will build mentoring relationships, develop and update Personal Career Development Plans for each student, assess progress across Academic, Career Technical, and Independent

Qualifications

Bachelors degree with at least 15 semester hours in Social Services-related instruction.
Minimum of one year of counseling or related field experience.
Valid in-state driver's license.
Job Corps or related program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive, individualized case management to support student progress, retention, and completion of the Job Corps program.
Establish mentoring relationships, offering personal, educational, and career counseling.
Identify and help remediate student barriers to success.
Develop and update Personal Career Development Plans for each student.
Assess student progress across Academic, Career Technical, and Independent Living areas.
Coordinate on- and off-Center services to support retention and success.
Evaluate and document student performance using the case management system.
Step in as Acting CPP/Counseling Manager when needed.
