Job summary

Roanoke-Chowan Community College is seeking a counseling professional to provide individualized and comprehensive academic and personal counseling for Student Support Services students. The role focuses on developing personalized plans of service, promoting self-esteem, and supporting students’ educational goals through individual and group counseling sessions and workshops.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree Required in counseling, student personnel services, education, or related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of two (2) years of appropriate and relevant professional experience working in a federal program or similar related program for disadvantaged and at-risk students.
Counseling experience in a community college or four-year institution.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized and comprehensive counseling to Student Support Services students.
Develop personalized plans of service to meet students' needs and promote self-concept and self-esteem.
Conduct individual and group counseling sessions and organize seminars/workshops on academic, personal, social, and career topics.
