Job summary

Windham School District in Beaumont, Texas, invites applications for a Student Advisor to support student placement and testing in an educational setting. Qualifications

  • Master's degree from a CHEA-accredited institution or USDE-recognized.
  • Standard SBEC School Counselor certificate required.
  • Or SBEC Mid-Management/Administrator/Principal Certificate or other appropriate admin certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and enroll students in programming suited to their educational needs.
  • Maintain appropriate class sizes by placing students in suitable programs.
  • Support district goals and campus improvement in student placement and climate.
  • Provide teachers and students with resources for college and career planning and readiness.
  • Advise students on educational decisions and disseminate program information.
  • Coordinate GED and related testing programs as needed.
