Job summary

Loyola University New Orleans is seeking a Part-time Project Advisor to assist the Project Director in operating the Upward Bound Program. You will deliver workshops to participants and support academic problem solving and college admissions.

Responsibilities include assisting advisors with advisement documentation, liaising with target schools, conducting information sessions, tracking participant progress, and planning both academic year and summer activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Four years or more of experience serving disadvantaged high school students.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
• Ability to manage and protect confidential information/documents.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with students, staff, parents, and school personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist other Project Advisors in compiling and monitoring student advisement/counseling documentation.
• Act as liaison with target school personnel and serve as program contact.
• Conduct college information sessions and college placement efforts.
• Document participant progress and retention.
• Conduct Financial Literacy and Career Workshops.
• Plan and execute Academic Year and Summer Component Activities.
• Manage participants during the on-campus Summer Component.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Director.
