J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College is seeking a GRASP Success Coach to provide individualized academic, personal, and career development support to students.

The role collaborates with faculty, advisors, and campus services to create personalized success plans, monitor progress, and facilitate connections to resources. The coach conducts coaching sessions, assists with enrollment, tracks progress, and supports student reflection and goal setting, all while maintaining confidential records

Qualifications

• Knowledge of student success strategies and retention practices.
• Experience providing individualized guidance, coaching, advising, or related support to students pursuing educational or career goals.
• Ability to maintain accurate, confidential student records and comply with FERPA.

Responsabilités

• Conduct regular individual or group coaching sessions with students.
• Assist students with course enrollment and program-of-study selection.
• Monitor academic progress and participation; coordinate career exploration activities.
• Maintain accurate records of contacts, progress, referrals, and outcomes; submit monthly activity summaries and annual data.
• Ensure student records are handled in accordance with privacy requirements and FERPA.
