Job summary

Memphis Goodwill Inc. is hiring a Life Coach for the Thousand Oaks Campus in Memphis, TN. The role involves managing a caseload of 80–100 students, promoting ongoing student engagement, and guiding students through intake, graduation planning, and connection to supportive services.

The Life Coach will work with instructors and CCR teams to meet Tennessee standards, facilitate learning plans, and coordinate with community partners to remove barriers to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of mentoring or counseling experience.
• Experience with high school students in non-traditional settings preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads the intake process to introduce students and outline educational goals.
• Evaluate students' academic histories and develop personalized graduation plans.
• Collaborate with College and Career Dept. to prepare for post-graduation requirements.
• Assist instructors in developing individual learning plans based on intake assessments.
• Build rapport with students and maintain open communication with instructors.
• Monitor students’ learning experiences to ensure progress and meeting goals.
• Identify community resources to remove barriers and support goals.
• Engage with community partners to expand support services available to students.
• Support leadership and instructional staff to promote student success.
• Attend team meetings and professional development sessions.
