Academic Tutor & College Readiness Coach (On-Call)

Pay: $15.00/hour (without a bachelor's degree) | $25.00/hour (with a bachelor's degree)

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (schedule may vary based on business needs)

What You'll Accomplish

As an Academic Tutor & College Readiness Coach, you will play a key role in helping students achieve academic success and prepare for postsecondary education opportunities. You will provide individualized support that strengthens academic performance, builds confidence, and increases college and career readiness.

Key Outcomes:

• Improve student academic performance by providing one-on-one and small-group tutoring, study skills coaching, organizational strategies, and subject-specific support.
• Foster student confidence, motivation, and personal accountability through positive mentoring and encouragement.
• Increase college enrollment readiness by guiding students through college application processes and helping them understand admission requirements.
• Support student access to financial resources by assisting with FAFSA, Oklahoma Promise, scholarship, and financial aid applications.
• Help students improve ACT preparedness through targeted coaching, practice support, and test-taking strategies.
• Ensure accurate program participation tracking by maintaining attendance records and monitoring student engagement.
• Identify learning gaps and provide individualized academic interventions to support student achievement.
• Contribute to successful college and career readiness events by assisting with the planning and execution of workshops, information sessions, and college/career nights.
• Collaborate with the Jones Academy College/Career Counselor and other staff to support student success initiatives and program goals.
