Job summary

Open Sky Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support scholars’ academic success and character development under the Lead Teacher and Principal. You will work with students, parents, and staff to foster a structured, achievement-driven classroom and reinforce lessons and routines.

Responsibilities include small-group tutoring, lesson preparation, technology support, and accurate recordkeeping. Strong communication and faith-aligned commitment are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Experience working with youth and families in educational settings is a plus.
• Proficient with technology and classroom tools.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive, achievement-oriented learning environment.
• Assist in lesson preparation and material gathering.
• Provide one-on-one tutoring or small group instruction under guidance.
• Maintain attendance, behavior, and achievement records.
• Support students with educational technology and transitions throughout the day.
• Build rapport with scholars, parents, and families.
