Job summary

Phipps Neighborhoods is seeking a Youth Success Advocate to work with elementary to high school students, delivering enrichment activities and targeted supports to help them stay engaged, graduate, and improve attendance.

The role involves developing lesson plans, conducting small-group interventions, and coordinating with school staff, families, and community partners to create safe, supportive environments that empower students to achieve their goals.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; 12 college credits preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong classroom management.
• Proficient in basic computer literacy.
• Growth mindset, initiative, creativity, and ability to multitask.
• Ability to deal with crisis in an appropriate manner.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate mentoring and enrichment activities to improve attendance and academic performance.
• Supervise students during events, ensuring safety at all times.
• Accurately monitor student attendance during day school and after school activities.
• Develop lesson plans and curriculum for extended learning time program schedules.
• Conduct attendance interventions with students and/or parents.
• Document student progress in Salesforce.
• Plan and facilitate group workshops and identify areas of concern.
• Maintain open communication with parents, students and school personnel.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development workshops.
