State of South Carolina seeks Academic and Career Advisors to support a caseload of newly admitted and continuing students with career advising, academic planning, registration help, and strategies for persistence and completion.

The role features a 30-hour advising week, ongoing training, and flexibility to work beyond regular hours. Travel between Midlands Technical College Airport and Beltline Campus is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in student services programs and academic advising preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support an assigned caseload of students with career advising, academic plan development, and registration assistance.
• Develop academic strategy to improve student success, persistence, retention, progression and completion.
• Maintain 30 hours of advising availability per week and participate in ongoing training.
