Job summary

Yeshiva University in New York seeks an experienced Academic Advisor to guide students from orientation through graduation, helping them plan courses, understand degree requirements, and navigate the university’s programs.

The role partners with the Dean, Academic Advisement Department, and department chairs to plan and manage programs and services, including enrichment, career planning, and graduate school applications. This is a full-time on-site position in NYU's diverse academic environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required
• Minimum of 5 years' experience preferred
• Excellent writing skills to aid students with personal statements for law school

Responsibilities

• Advise students individually and in groups
• Review course selections and schedules
• Assess graduation requirements and complete senior checks
• Coordinate outside courses and special permissions
• Assist with graduate school applications and advising
• Oversee and participate in orientation and academic enrichment programs
• Collaborate with Registrar, Student Affairs, Admissions, Careers, and Student Finance
