Job summary

Bay Path University is seeking a Part-Time Academic Advisor (25 hours per week) in Longmeadow, MA. The advisor provides developmental advising to undergraduates, guiding degree planning, course selection, and major exploration to promote student success.

Under the Director for BPO Advising, you will utilize advising technology, maintain documentation, and engage in professional development. This grant-funded role ends June 30, 2027.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team while managing a caseload.
• Familiarity with advising technology and FERPA/HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide developmental advising for a caseload of students from enrollment to graduation.
• Discuss course performance and goals, helping develop degree plans and major exploration.
• Assist students with curricular and co-curricular opportunities and resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation and use university planning tools for advising.
• Present at prospective student events and stay updated on program changes.
