Job summary

Blinn College Brenham Campus is seeking an Academic Advisor to provide comprehensive academic advising, helping students craft educational plans, plan for career goals, and transfer pathways. The role serves diverse student groups across majors and collaborates with faculty and staff to enhance student success.

Junior to mid-career professionals will ensure compliance with FERPA, support registration activities, and assist with special populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Experience in higher education is desirable.
• Ability to travel to Blinn College locations as needed.
• Strong interpersonal and campus collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising to students, individually or in small groups.
• Develop educational plans and assist with career planning and transfer goals.
• Review degree plans and assist with academic, developmental, and probationary concerns.
• Coordinate with departments and resources; support athletic and special populations.
• Participate in New Student Registrations and advising events; support faculty and staff.
