Job summary

Blinn College is seeking a Student Worker for the Student Leadership and Activities office at the Bryan Campus. The role supports day-to-day operations of Student Center programs, services, and events while providing professional customer service.

Responsibilities include assisting with events, managing supplies, and maintaining an organized, welcoming environment for students, faculty, and staff. Training and adherence to college policies are required.

Qualifications

• Eligible for Federal Work-Study.
• Enrolled as at least a half-time student at Blinn College.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professionalism and dependability.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Student Leadership & Activities staff with daily operations, programs, and special events.
• Check out games, equipment, and other supplies to students and ensure items are returned and stored properly.
• Answer phone calls and respond to general inquiries; direct to appropriate staff or resources.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving tables, chairs, furniture, and equipment.
• Help manage event materials, supplies, and other resources to ensure they are available and organized.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming Student Center environment and interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Complete required training and follow college policies and procedures.
