Job summary

Blinn College is seeking a Part Time Seasonal Academic Advisor at the Bryan Campus to provide individual and small group educational advising, including course planning and career exploration. The role supports registration activities and maintains student records with FERPA considerations.

The position is up to 19 hours per week during peak periods, with a target start date of 4/6/2026 and end date around 9/30/2026. A Bachelor's degree and 1–2 years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1-2 years related experience in student services or customer service.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with Banner Software and Degree Works is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group educational advising to students.
• Develop educational plans of academic courses to help students achieve goals.
• Assist students with identifying educational and career goals and creating an educational plan.
• Review degree plans and advise on academic and probationary concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions and collaborate with other advisors.
