Job summary

Mercy College of Ohio is seeking a Success Advisor/Academic Advisor to join the RHEI/Toledo advising team. The role centers students in all activities and guides them through the lifecycle with academic advising and counseling to pursue educational goals and access to resources.

Responsibilities include advising a diverse student population, fostering independent learning, providing referrals, collaborating with faculty, and contributing to programming and retention efforts.

Qualifications

• Masters degree required in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or Student Development.
• 2+ years in academic advising, higher education counseling, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising and counseling to a diverse student population, including non-traditional on-campus and hybrid/online learners.
• Assist students in developing independent learning skills and achieve degree progression.
• Refer students to career, academic, counseling, and student life resources.
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student goals and access resources.
• Develop, implement, and assess advising tools and programming.
• Support retention programming and contribute to orientation courses.
