Job summary

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional level experience in student advising or related student support services.
• Bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited institution is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general academic advising in person and via synchronous/asynchronous technologies to incoming and continuing students.
• Teach students to register using Student Planning for classes based on their needs and prerequisites.
• Prepare and interpret degree audits to measure progress toward academic goals.
• Refer students to other college services to support academic and personal needs.
• Document interactions in accordance with policies to support accountability and program assessment.
• Keep advising information up to date, including admissions requirements, new programs, and transfer options.
• Explain college policies and procedures clearly to students.
• Listen actively to student goals and help them leverage college resources to reach success.
