Job Summary

The Student Success & Operations Coordinator, Part-Time MBAPrograms, plays a key role in delivering an exceptional experiencefor students in the University of Utah's Professional MBA (PMBA)and Online MBA (OMBA) programs. This position combines studentonboarding, advising, program operations, event coordination, andacademic support to ensure a seamless, high-quality experience fromadmission through graduation.

The coordinator serves as a trusted resource for students byfacilitating onboarding, supporting student success, coordinatingclassroom logistics, executing student engagement initiatives, andproviding operational support for the programs. This positionrequires extensive collaboration with students, faculty, alumni,vendors, and university partners to deliver an outstandingeducational experience.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, andthrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities shiftfrequently. Beyond day-to-day coordination, this individualcontinuously evaluates workflows, identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, and leverages technology, data, and emergingtools—including AI—to streamline processes, enhance communication,and improve the student experience. The successful candidate iscurious, adaptable, and motivated to challenge traditional ways ofworking while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

This position is considered essential and requires regularon-campus, in-person attendance.

Responsibilities
Student Success, Advising, and Onboarding
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for admitted and currentstudents throughout their graduate program experience.

  • Utilize systems such as Salesforce, Slack, and other universitytechnologies to communicate proactively, monitor studentengagement, and support student success.
Student Engagement and Events
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute orientations, networking events,residencies, graduation activities, student engagement programs,and other initiatives that foster community and enhance the studentexperience.
  • Collaborate with faculty, alumni, employers, and campuspartners to create meaningful experiences that support studentengagement and success.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and alumniengagement efforts through high-quality programming andevents.
  • Coordinate event logistics, communications, vendors, catering,and on-site execution.
  • Maintain accurate event records and participation data withinSalesforce and other university systems.
  • Assist with budget tracking, purchasing, and event planning asassigned.
  • Assess program effectiveness and recommend enhancements tocontinually improve the student experience.
Academic Operations and Faculty Support
  • Coordinate classroom logistics and operational support for PMBAand OMBA courses, residencies, and special program activities.
  • Support faculty before and during class sessions bycoordinating classroom needs, technology, instructional materials,catering, and student communications.
  • Utilize Canvas and other instructional technologies to supportcourse delivery.
  • Assist with academic scheduling, program calendars, classroomreservations, and operational planning.
  • Help ensure a professional, organized, and welcoming classroomexperience for students and faculty.
Operations and Continuous Improvement
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and operationaldocumentation across university systems.
  • Analyze data, operational metrics, and student feedback toinform decisions and improve program effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, simplifyadministrative processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Leverage technology, automation, AI tools, and other emergingsolutions to improve productivity, communication, and servicedelivery.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that elevate thestudent and faculty experience while supporting operationalexcellence.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement,and exceptional customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the ProfessionalMBAand Online MBA programs.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing technology, automation, AI tools, orprocess improvement methodologies to increase efficiency andimprove outcomes.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to identifytrends, make informed decisions, and improve processes.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning,innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends asneeded.
