Job summary

The Digital Communication Assistant at American University’s School of Communication supports promoting the school to external and internal audiences. You will work on social media campaigns, content creation, and website updates as part of a small Communications & Marketing team.

Position is part-time (10 hours/week) for enrolled AU students, with responsibilities spanning social media, CMS editing, GA4 reporting, and newsletter production to engage the SOC community.

Qualifications

• Current AU student required.
• Detail-oriented, time-efficient and self-motivated.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
• Professional demeanor and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Creative mindset for visually appealing content.
• Experience using content management systems.
• Basic understanding of HTML.
• Experience with social media copywriting, outreach and management (Instagram, LinkedIn).
• Experience with GA4 or similar analytics tools.
