Job summary

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) invites applications for a full‑time Student Services Officer in the School of Open Learning. The role focuses on marketing, recruitment and support for distance-learning and part‑time students.

The appointee will plan social media and digital campaigns, coordinate roadshows and events, identify partnerships, and assist with course registration and student advising. Occasional extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree with 3 years post‑qualification experience in marketing or events.
• Experience in a marketing agency or educational sector is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in English, Chinese and Putonghua.
• Proficient PC skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute social media and digital marketing strategies to increase awareness of the School and its programmes.
• Support student recruitment activities via roadshows, expos and networking events.
• Identify new platforms, tools, partnerships to boost visibility and student acquisition.
• Assist in study programme administration, course registration and related student consultations.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties to support distance-learning and part-time students.
