Job summary

Westaff in Burlington, VT is seeking a Student Services Event Specialist for a temporary, on-site assignment from 9/28 through the end of the year. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with occasional weekend event support.

You will coordinate recruitment events, open houses, information sessions, and support orientation programs, student activities, and campus events. The ideal candidate is organized, outgoing, and passionate about creating memorable experiences for students

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience or equivalent education/experience
• Strong event planning, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment events, open houses, and information sessions
• Support orientation programs, student activities, and alumni events
• Serve as a welcoming resource for students, families, and campus visitors
• Assist with marketing materials, website updates, and outreach efforts
• Provide administrative support and help execute special events, including commencement
