Job summary

Mosaic, on behalf of SpaceX/Starlink, is offering a part-time Student Business Development Representative position near your campus. You’ll perform door-to-door outreach, start conversations, and guide families to learn about Starlink while earning hourly pay plus commission for activations.

You must be a student with 15–25 hours/week availability, own reliable transportation, and be coachable with a drive to learn. Training is provided, with flexible hours around classes and weekends.

Qualifications

• You are currently enrolled in school and can work 15 to 25 hours per week around your class schedule, including some evenings and weekends when residents are most likely to be home.
• You have a reliable personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and a smartphone. Because territories are rural, reliable transportation is important.
• You do not need prior sales experience to be successful here. We are looking for students who are ambitious, coachable, comfortable meeting new people, and excited to learn.
• Experience in sales, fundraising, customer service, athletics, student organizations, or campus leadership is a plus.
• You are self-motivated and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Own your territory. You will be assigned neighborhoods around campus and use broadband coverage maps and territory tools to find households that may be a great fit for Starlink. You will help plan your routes, track your outreach, and learn what works as you build momentum.
• Start real conversations. Introduce Starlink through door-to-door outreach, explain the current service and hardware offerings, answer questions, and help interested customers get started using your personal referral code.
• Make an impact in the community. Look for opportunities beyond the front door, including farmers’ markets, community events, local business partnerships, and civic groups where residents gather.
• Grow your network. Turn positive conversations and satisfied customers into introductions to neighbors, family, and friends who may be looking for a better internet option.
• Learn from your results. Log your activity, sales, hours, and mileage in Mosaic's field app at the end of each shift. You will also have regular check-ins with your Regional Sales Manager to review wins, talk through challenges, and sharpen your approach.
