Job summary

BASIS San Antonio Jack Lewis Jr. is seeking a Monitor to join our bright, passionate team. The role involves monitoring student activities such as lunches, recesses, parking duty, and before/after school programs.

The position requires a high school diploma or higher, and a valid IVP fingerprint clearance card or satisfactory state background check. Prior experience in school or childcare is preferred, with responsibilities including safety monitoring and front office assistance.

Qualifications

• Background check: IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card or state background check
• High school diploma or higher
• Experience in a school or childcare environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor students to ensure safety
• Oversee students’ behavior during lunches, recesses, passing periods, and before/after school
• Report any unruly behavior to school management
• Inform supervisor of any damages to school property
• Respond to emergencies with urgency
• Exercise sound judgment in carrying out duties
• Assist in front office support as applicable
• Maintain regular attendance
• Supervise students during structured and unstructured times
• Other duties as assigned
