Job summary

South San Antonio High School is seeking a dedicated HS-Campus Monitor to assist administration in maintaining a safe and positive learning environment. The role involves supervising students, supporting daily routines, and maintaining order across gym, cafeteria, and hallways.

The position requires basic education credentials, fingerprint clearance, and ability to work a full school day. CPR/CPI training and substitution coverage are valued assets in this role.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification requirements include an associate degree or higher or 48 college hours, plus high school diploma or equivalent and TABE test.
• Eligibility for paraprofessional certificate issued by State Board of Educator Certification is required.
• Candidate must have satisfactory fingerprinting background check (approx. $50).
• Experience with youth preferred; CPI and CPR training are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in student supervision throughout the school day.
• Help build positive school culture through relationships with students.
• Monitor students in gym, cafeteria, and hallways during arrival, class changes, and dismissal.
• Perform bus, lunch, gym, or hallway duties as needed and cover classes when substitutes are unavailable.
• Report tardies, truancies, and incidents to administrators as required.
• Direct visitors to proper destinations on campus and maintain communications via radios.
