Job summary

Lincoln Park Public Schools is seeking a Lunchroom Supervisor to assist in maintaining an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria and playground by supervising students.

Responsibilities include supervising students, managing food purchase flow, seating, assisting during meals, reporting infractions, and ensuring cleanliness. Requires a high school diploma, ability to work with children, good health, and background check. Salary will be established by the Board.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to maintain order and control with children.
• Good physical health and stamina.
• Background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.

Responsibilities

• Supervises students in the cafeteria and on the playground.
• Maintains an orderly food purchase system, handles disposal of waste and return of trays.
• Ensures students are seated in assigned areas.
• Circulates among tables during meals to assist or resolve minor issues.
• Informs principal or homeroom teacher of any serious disciplinary infractions.
• Ensures cleanliness of tables and surrounding areas.
• Organizes groups for orderly dismissal from the cafeteria.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
