Responsibilities

• Supervises students during lunch periods and dismissal.
• Assists students with trays, food, seating and dismissal.
• Circulates to assist students and resolve minor issues.
• Maintains discipline per school and district policies.
• Uses conflict resolution strategies to help students solve lunchtime problems.
• Reports injuries, accidents, illnesses and discipline issues promptly.
• Notifies custodian of spills and helps keep tables clean.
• Works with food service staff.
• Follows HACCP-based USDA food safety plan.
• Supervises recess and enforces playground safety.
• Models non-discriminatory practices.
• Maintains student confidentiality.
• Shows tact and courtesy with students and staff.
• Knows fire/tornado exits and crisis procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
