Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: Required to attend and be trained yearly by the Traffic Safety Association.
• Experience: Experience working with children preferred.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of school policies and safety regulations, required.
• Skills: Good communication skills, required.
• Abilities: Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions, required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and community, required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors students as they cross streets and school grounds.
• Stops traffic when necessary.
• Ensures students comply with school rules and monitors behavior while crossing streets.
• Maintains a safe flow of traffic on and off school grounds when students are present.
• Must be on time at your job post.
• Communicates with community, staff, and students to answer questions, disseminate or explain information.
