Job summary

Somerton School District seeks a Student Supervision Aide for Somerton Middle School to support a safe campus by supervising students and enforcing school rules. The role follows a 191-day, 7-hour per day calendar with a 9-month classified status and a $15.15 per hour salary.

Responsibilities include escorting students, monitoring gates, responding to incidents, and assisting with arrival and dismissal. Requires a high school diploma; prior supervision experience is desirable; benefits are

Responsibilities

• Communicates safety and security rules to students and visitors for the purpose of ensuring understanding of expectations and promoting compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Escorts students to the classroom or designated area for the purpose of ensuring student safety and maintaining orderly movement.
• Intervenes in potential conflicts and emergency situations for the purpose of minimizing disruptions.
• Monitors and checks campus gates during the school day for campus security.
• Greets students on arrival and supports student supervision.
• Reports incidents to appropriate site personnel for follow-up.
• Responds to inquiries from a variety of situations for immediate concerns.
• Supervises students during after-school activities for safety and order.
