LewisGale Hospital Montgomery, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Student RN Extern PRN to gain hands-on nursing experience in a hospital setting. You will assist with ADLs, vital signs, mobility, and hygiene while observing professional care practices and safety protocols.

You’ll learn through direct patient care, documentation, and collaboration with the nursing team, building skills toward advanced responsibilities as you progress through your nursing program.

Formación

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree.
• No Travel Required.
• No experience Required Years of Experience.

Responsabilidades

• Providing essential care for patients by helping with ADLs, checking vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring comfort and hygiene.
• Performing nursing tasks like wound care, catheter care, collecting specimens, and other basic procedures as you gain experience.
• Documenting care accurately and communicating timely updates with the nursing team to keep patient care seamless and coordinated.
• Helping patients and families understand their care plans and offering guidance for their health and recovery.
• Keeping patient areas clean and safe by following infection prevention practices, managing equipment, and maintaining an organized environment.
• Engaging in learning opportunities and partnering with your supervisor or preceptor to build your personal career development plan.
