Job summary

Unitek Learning seeks a Student Persistence Specialist to support student retention by proactively identifying at-risk students and coordinating with campus teams to remove barriers to success. The role blends data insights with personal engagement, with potential evening and Saturday hours to support campus operations.

Responsibilities include monitoring attendance and engagement, providing timely outreach with coaching/resources, and ensuring documentation with follow-up.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• 1–3 years of experience in student services, advising, admissions, or related support roles.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a student-centered, empathetic approach.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student engagement and identify at-risk students.
• Provide timely outreach via phone, text, email, or in-person with coaching and resources.
• Document interactions and ensure follow-up through resolution or re-engagement.
• Support students returning from Leave of Absence and conduct SAP advising.
• Collaborate with Deans, Program Directors, HR, Registrars, Financial Aid, Career Services, and Enrollment teams to enhance student experience.
