Job summary

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is seeking a College Recruiter to engage prospective students across on- and off-campus events in Perkinston, MS. Qualifications

• (M1) Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related area from a regionally accredited college or university.
• (M2) Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel (mail merge) and PowerPoint; email and the internet.
• (M3) Experience in recruitment, public speaking, and/or sales.
• (M4) Demonstrated commitment to strong customer service.
• (M5) Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• (D1) Master's Degree in college student personnel or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
• (D2) Experience with SCT Banner software.
• (D3) Prior experience working in a community college, specifically in student services.
• (D4) Experience with direct mail communication.
• (D5) Experience in working with various social media outlets.
• (D6) Speaks both English and Spanish fluently.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the development of recruitment goals, objectives, and strategies for the unit.
• Stay abreast of changes within the college including MGCCC admission requirements, scholarship/financial aid opportunities, student services, academic, career/technical and workforce programs.
• Promote new programs and offerings to prospective students, high school counselors, GED prospects, and community contacts.
• Maintain good working relationships among members of the recruitment team, Student Services areas district-wide, Institutional Relations, as well as other college personnel.
• Communicate and work cohesively with other departments and the Director of Recruitment, Communications, and Data.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules at various campus/center and community locations including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, etc.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related area

Master's Degree in college student personnel or related field

Experience with SCT Banner software

Prior experience in student services

Speaks English and Spanish fluently

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
