Job summary

UNM-Taos is seeking a Student Recruiter to support recruitment, enrollment, retention, and Financial Aid needs. The role includes representing UNM-Taos at schools and events, guiding students through enrollment, and cross-training to assist with FAFSA and aid processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of related experience.
• Degree substitutions allowed for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Experience in student recruitment, admissions, financial aid, or enrollment services.
• Experience working with diverse student populations, including first-generation students and rural communities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Knowledge of financial aid programs, scholarships, and FAFSA processes.
• Experience planning recruitment events, workshops, or presentations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for students, families, and partners.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with CRM software, SIS, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to collaborate across departments while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment and outreach efforts to increase enrollment at UNM-Taos.
• Represent UNM-Taos at high schools, college fairs, and community events.
• Provide individualized guidance through the enrollment process.
• Cross-train to support the Financial Aid Office during peak periods.
