Job summary

Highpoint Health - Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas is seeking a Student, Radiology Technologist for a PRN position. The role supports imaging procedures, patient education, and safety protocols. You must be currently enrolled in a radiologic technology program with at least 6 months clinical exposure preferred.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or equivalent. Join our team to gain hands-on experience in a hospital radiology department and contribute to quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current attendance in a school of radiologic technology required.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician's orders; educate patient about procedures, equipment, and exam.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice; monitor patient condition and respond to changes.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; select exposure factors and imaging parameters; perform quality control and troubleshoot equipment.
• Implements safety standards and quality control; report equipment malfunctions.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedures; analyze results and address image quality issues; enter and report scan results.
• Transport patients to and from the Medical Imaging department safely.
