Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or equivalent - Required.
• Current attendance in a school of radiologic technology - Required.
• Minimum Work Experience: 6 months experience as in a clinical setting - Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment.
• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures. Analyzes results and identifies issues with image quality; may reposition patient and repeat procedures as needed.
• Transports patients to and from the Medical Imaging department in a safe and courteous manner.
