Beloit Health System is seeking a Student Radiology Technologist to join the Radiology team in Beloit, WI. You will perform x-ray procedures under supervision, operate imaging equipment, and assist with various radiology tasks while pursuing licensure.

This per diem, varied-shift position provides exposure to diagnostic imaging workflow and patient care, with support to obtain ARRT registration and state licensure within 90 days of graduation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in final semester of an AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Must become ARRT registered in Radiology and licensed in the state you work within 90 days of graduation.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Reporting Relationship: Clinical Manager of Radiology with radiologist advisement.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibilities

• Performs x-ray procedures to produce diagnostic images under supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
• Operates imaging equipment and ensures image quality and patient identification.
• Assists with contrast administration as required and supports fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents exam details, technical factors, and quality assurance activities.
• Assists with patient care, transportation, and PACs processing.
• Pursues licensure as a Radiologic Technologist and participates in department QA programs.

Beloit Health System is looking to add a Student Radiology Technologist to our Team!

• Shift: Varied
• Schedule: Hours between 6:30 am – 11:00 pm
• Hours per week: Varied – Per Diem
• Benefits Status: Not Eligible
• Department: Radiology

The Radiology Technologist Student performs x-ray procedures to produce images for the purpose of diagnosing disease processes under the supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist until board certified.

• Provides diagnostic radiographic services
  • Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate under the supervision of a licensed Radiologic Technologist
  • Evaluates radiography for technical quality and patient identification.
  • Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures
  • Administers or assists with administration of contrast media, as required.
  • Assists physician with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures
  • Ensures proper documentation of exam, technical factors, repeat/reject information, quality improvement, etc.
  • Performs quality control checks as required
• Assists in aspects of patient care including transportation and PACs processing.
• Detects, reports to supervision, and contacts repair person for equipment malfunctions.
• Assumes responsibility for portions of department quality assurance and improvement programs
• Pursues licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
