Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team and perform radiographic imaging procedures with a focus on quality and safety.

The position requires graduation from an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program, Wisconsin licensure, and AART registration, with a 40-hour week on the 2nd shift. A sign-on bonus is offered, along with comprehensive benefits and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology and AART registered.
• Licensed in the State of Wisconsin.
• CPR Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Self-motivated and able to be flexible.
• Able to problem-solve and function independently.
• Adherence to regulatory agencies and Beloit Health System policies.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic radiographic services.
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and related devices.
• Selects and calculates exposure factors per age guidelines; applies radiation protection.
• Evaluates radiography for technical quality and patient identification.
• Provides for physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures.
• Administers or assists with contrast media as required.
• Documents exams, factors, and quality improvement information; performs quality checks.
• Maintains confidential patient records and files.
• Supervises and communicates with radiology students.

Provides patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician. Performs radiographic and other related imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by a physician. Applies principles of radiation protection and evaluates radiographs for technical quality.

• Performs diagnostic radiographic services.
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.
• Selects and/or calculates exposure factors according to age specific guidelines. Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient„, self, and others.
• Evaluates radiography for technical quality and patient identification.
• Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures.
• Administers or assists with administration of contrast media, as required.
• Ensures proper documentation of exam, technical factors, repeat/reject information, quality improvement, etc. Performs quality control checks as required.
• Maintains accurate patient records and file with confidentiality.
• Supervises, assists, instructs and communicates effectively with radiology students.
