The Barnes Jewish West County Hospital Department of Radiology is a highly specialized, full-service department striving to meet all patient and clinician needs in diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapies.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Under supervision of a registered technologist, performs imaging procedures on adult and pediatric patients for diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomical and physiological disorders. Must be currently enrolled in an imaging program. Illinois: Following IEMA guidelines.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the technologist with imaging procedures. Students require direct supervision in surgery.
2. Escort or transport patients to and from examination areas, assist technologist with patient transfers to and from imaging tables, and assist patients as needed.
3. Assist outpatients with completing information necessary for the procedure.
