Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a Student Radiology Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. The role provides hands-on clinical experience for students enrolled in an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program, under supervision of licensed radiologic staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with imaging procedures, preparing rooms and equipment, and maintaining patient confidentiality while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in final semester of AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Must become ARRT registered in Radiology within 90 days of graduation.
• Self-motivated and able to be flexible.
• Ability to problem-solve and interact well with customers and healthcare teams.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist registered Radiologic Technologists with diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient procedures.
• Escort and position patients for imaging examinations under supervision.
• Verify patient identification and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Provide compassionate patient care and excellent customer service.
• Assist with obtaining patient histories and preparing documentation as directed.
• Support transfers and transportation using safe patient-handling techniques.
• Learn and apply radiation safety principles and departmental protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas.
• Assist with image processing and PACS workflow, plus clerical duties.
