Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a Radiology Technologist to join the Diagnostic Imaging team. The Radiology Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures while prioritizing patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will prepare patients, position them correctly, operate radiographic equipment, ensure image quality, maintain records in EMR/PACS, and collaborate with radiologists and nurses. On-call rotations may apply and adherence to ALARA is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Wisconsin state license.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Able to problem-solve and work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques and radiation safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and address questions or concerns.
• Position patients accurately to obtain quality images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment per safety standards.
• Review images for quality before interpretation and submit to radiologists.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EMR and PACS.
• Adhere to ALARA principles and monitor patients during procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other staff to coordinate care.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and department improvements.
• Maintain imaging rooms and equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures.
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotations as required.

Beloit Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiology Technologists to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. The Radiology Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and addressing questions or concerns.
• Position patients accurately to obtain quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Operate and maintain radiographic equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
• Review images for quality and completeness before submission for interpretation.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
• Adhere to radiation safety principles, including ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Assist with quality assurance activities and departmental improvement initiatives.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment.
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday rotation. as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Licensed in the State of Wisconsin.
• CPR Certification within 90 days of hire
• Self-motivated and able to be flexible.
• Ability to problem-solve and function independently.
• Knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques, patient positioning, and radiation safety.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, patient-centered environment.
• Must adhere to established to regulatory agencies, Beloit Health System, and department policies, rules and regulations.
• Reporting Relationship: Clinical Manager of Medical Imaging. Clinical advisement is received from the Radiologists
